Free 30-Minute Consultation

This session will not include diagnosis, treatment planning, or interventions.

This is a chance for us to meet, discuss your goals, and see if my approach is a good fit for you before we begin therapy. This session is designed for you to ask questions and get a sense of how we might work together.

50-Minute Therapy Sessions

Cost: $160 per individual session

I am also in network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Colorado, Carelon Behavioral Health, Providence Health Plan, and Cigna.

75-minute and 90-minute sessions may be available at an additional fee.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, and you can also ask for one at any time during your care. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Frequently Asked Questions

Starting therapy can bring up a lot! Here are some questions people often ask.

50-minute individual sessions cost $160. When I’m able to, I negotiate my rate.

All major credit cards are accepted. I also accept FSA, HSA, and HRA benefits. You can pay directly using your benefits card or pay with a personal card and request reimbursement from your plan.

I am in network with the following insurances: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Colorado, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, and Providence Health Plan.

I am committed to making therapy accessible and inclusive. To support clients who may not be able to afford my full fee, I offer a limited number of sliding-scale openings. These reduced-rate spots are reserved for individuals experiencing financial hardship or for those whose marginalized identities may create additional barriers to care.

If you believe you may qualify or would like to be considered for a sliding-scale slot, please feel free to bring this up with me. A sliding scale works best when grounded in honesty, mutual respect, and shared accountability. I do not require income verification—I trust clients to assess their own circumstances and communicate their needs openly.

Because availability can change and I aim to offer these spots thoughtfully and equitably, sliding-scale arrangements are reviewed every six months to ensure they remain an appropriate fit.

To help guide you if you may qualify for a sliding scale spot please check out this resource from Alexis J. Cunningfolk

Notice Requirement: Clients must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance.

Late Cancellation Fee: Clients who cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a fee of $100

No-Show Fee: Clients who fail to attend an appointment without any notice will be charged a full session fee of $160

Not at this time. I currently offer virtual therapy services. You must be a resident of Colorado or Wyoming to receive counseling services from me. I use a HIPAA-compliant platform (Alma Telehealth) which is easily accessible from a computer, phone, or tablet

I may offer in-person services in Fort Collins, Colorado in the future if there is sufficient interest. If this is something you would be interested in, please feel free to let me know!

I typically work Monday-Thursday from 9am-6pm. If you reach out Friday-Sunday, I will respond to your inquiry the next business day.

Therapy can be vulnerable, meaningful work, and how a session begins and ends matters. Sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes to allow for a thoughtful opening, a supported closing, and enough time for regulation before and after your appointment.

Those final minutes are intentionally held to:

  • Allow time to reflect on themes and patterns while the session is fresh, which strengthens treatment planning over time.
  • Support accurate, timely documentation so important details from our work together aren’t lost.
  • Give both of us a moment to pause, reset, and transition.

This structure supports nervous system safety (yours and mine) and helps ensure sessions don’t feel rushed, cut off, or emotionally unsafe at the end. You still receive a full, focused therapy session, just within a framework designed to prioritize care, containment, and consistency.

If this ever brings up questions or feelings for you, we can always talk about it together.
