I’m Cait (they/them) a queer identified therapist who specializes working with queer and trans adults, as well as anyone who may be struggling with complex trauma, identity work, disordered eating, people pleasing, and more!

What to Expect

I see therapy as a partnership, not a “fix-me” session. Together, we work on awareness, self-compassion, and practical tools so you can live a fuller, more authentic life (and maybe laugh along the way).

If you’re looking for a supportive, down-to-earth, and slightly playful approach to therapy, I’d love to work with you!

If some of these modalities are unfamiliar to you, check out these resources and I am happy to share more about them when we meet.

My Approach

You are the expert in your life. My job is to offer empathy, understanding, and a little encouragement while you explore your own path forward. I may use our therapeutic relationship as a healing and exploration tool.

Life happens in the moment, and Gestalt helps us notice how you experience it. This includes your patterns, emotions, and choices, right here, right now.

Our bodies remember what our minds sometimes forget. This approach helps us work with both, processing experiences in a safe and grounded way.

Feeling lost, uncertain, or full of big life questions? We can explore meaning, freedom, responsibility, and the choices that shape your life, without getting stuck in doom-and-gloom.

Life can throw tricky thoughts and feelings at us. ACT helps you notice them, accept them, and still take steps that align with what matters most to you.

Sometimes life feels bigger than ourselves. This approach helps explore meaning, purpose, and connection beyond the day-to-day grind.

Mindfulness is like a mental “pause button.” We practice noticing thoughts, feelings, and sensations with curiosity and a little self-compassion without judgment.

My Values

Affirmation & Inclusivity

Honoring your identity and lived experience. Example: Using your correct pronouns consistently, validating experiences of discrimination or microaggressions, and exploring your identity in a supportive space.

Connection & Empathy

Building a genuine, understanding therapeutic relationship. Example: checking in about how the therapy process feels for you, hearing and respecting your “no’s” that may come up in our work together.

Social Justice & Advocacy

Recognizing systemic inequities and supporting you in living authentically. Example: Exploring how discrimination, privilege, or societal expectations impact your life and identity development.

Humility & Collaboration

I won’t always “get it right,” and I value your guidance. Example: If I misinterpret something you share, I encourage you to say something so we can address it together. Your perspective is essential in shaping our work.
